The 2017 Minnesota Bred Ewe Sale was held November 25 in Rochester, MN. It is managed by the MHSA. Fifteen consignors sold 33 sheep (4 breeds and wether type) for an average price of $500.67. Eight Hampshire consignors sold 20 entries for a $513.75 average. The Champion Hampshire, a February ewe lamb, was consigned by Reid Merrill of Canby, MN and sold to Greenway Farm (Jon & Laird Mork) of Beldenville, WI for $700. The Reserve Champion Hampshire was a January lamb entered by Bobendrier Hampshires of Pipestone, MN. She sold to Tim & Kathy Coss & Family of Cannon Falls, MN for $825.
